On Monday, January 9th, Rick Riordan made some VERY exciting announcements. The first of which pertains to another series by him, the Kane Chronicles. The third book in the series will be titled "The Serpent's Shadow." The cover will look like this:
The other announcement has to do with...wait for it... PERCY JACKSON!
You've heard of the Demigod Files, right? (If you haven't, I would recommend finding it! And yes Alex, you can borrow it from me.) Well, the next Percy-related book will be The Demigod Diaries! The book will include a story from Luke's point of view, with Annabeth and Thalia. The story is set pre-Lightning Thief. It will also have the first first-person Percy story since the Last Olympian. Also included is a story about Leo (from the Lost Hero) and his difficulties with building the Argo II. The book will have a short story by Rick's son, Haley, who inspired the Percy Jackson series. It's the story of a demigod that fought in Kronos's army and what happened to him afterwards.

The Demigod Diaries will be out on August 14th. Hopefully it will lessen the pain of the wait for Mark of Athena!
