Drew in the Serpent's Shadow

Hi! (For the 3rd time today) I have a lot of stuff to blog about today, as you can see.
I'm currently reading the latest and final installment in the Kane Chronicles, The Serpent's Shadow. (Also by Rick Riordan) In this book, Sadie goes to a dance, which, as I'd like to point out, takes place in New York, New York. There they run into one of her "least favorite mortals", Drew. Drew is one of those stuck up, fake, I'm-better-than-you-are girls. Sounds like someone else we know, right? She also said that she goes to a summer camp with another girl there. So, how are we supposed to know that Drew is really mortal, like Sadie says? Could she be... A half-blood?

Percabeth Reunion!!!

I've noticed some predictions that the Mark of Athena will NOT include the long-awaited Percabeth reunion. People have noticed a pattern about Rick Riordan's books: the sequel starts a significant period of time after the book's ending. (e.g. TLT to SoM was a year, SoM to TTC was half a year)
I am very pleased to tell you that that theory is incorrect. The Mark of Athena begins right where the Son of Neptune left off, except it is told from Annabeth's point of view approaching Camp Jupiter in the Argo II. You have no idea how excited this makes me. WE GET TO SEE THE PERCABETH REUNION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do I know this, you may ask? Well, I heard the first chapter. You can listen to it/watch it being read here.

Reading Logs and Miracles

I am so incredibly happy. As you know, I love Percy Jackson and anything to do with it, and I love when other people read it. So, I am going to share with you two amazing stories (which you probably don't even care about.... oh well, haha) of people reading Percy Jackson. One is a weird coincidence (well, not really. It was partially planned), and the other is a pure miracle. Read on :)
When she finished the book, she ran up to me and said, while bouncing up and down, (spoiler alert!) "THEA'S ALIVE!" I was excited too, and I started bouncing up and down with her. Then I stopped bouncing and said, "Wait... did you say Thea? It's ThALIa!" She didn't care. She just kept jumping up and down, but that's okay. I didn't want to ruin her excitement.
On Friday when my two friends were saying 573 days until Catching Fire, we were saying 333 days until the Sea of Monsters :)
She also hasn't seen the first Percy Jackson movie, and she wondered what Clarisse looked like. I told her that Clarisse wasn't in the first one, but I could show her a picture of who is playing her in the second. I borrowed Alex's Hunger Games magazine and showed her the picture of Glimmer. Jill said, "She's too pretty to be Clarisse!" I agreed with her. But we're still excited for it to come out. :D

The weird, not-really-coincidence story:
For literature class in school, we have to do a reading log. We can read any book we want, as long as the teacher approves it. There are at least two people reading the Lightning Thief. My friend is reading the Sea of Monsters (more on that later). I am reading the Titan's Curse. One guy is reading the Battle of the Labyrinth. And Alex (Silena on the FB page) is reading the Last Olympian. How cool is that? At least one person for each book... Amazing!The miracle story:
So, as I said in the previous story, my friend Jill* is reading the Sea of Monsters for her reading log. Well, you can change "is" to "was". She read the book in a week. A week! Now, what you have to understand about Jill is that she must be the slowest reader on the planet. Books don't normally excite her. It took her a while to read the Lightning Thief, but when she got to the Sea of Monsters, she was speed-reading through that book like there was no tomorrow. She read 7 chapters in a weekend. That is more than a lot for her. Sea of Monsters Set Pictures

Hi guys! I'd like to share some pictures I found from the set of The Sea Of Monsters!! :) It's being filmed in Vancouver, Canada and the pictures were taken on April 19th. Enjoy!

So this is the picture I'm confused about. Why is Grover there? He's not supposed to be there until it gets toward the end. Maybe this could be when they come back from the quest? Like, when they're in Florida? But then Clarisse would be there! Or it could be after Clarisse leaves. RIGHT after Clarisse leaves. The other possibility is that instead of looking for Grover AND the Fleece, they're just looking for the Fleece. After all, Grover wasn't trying to get a searcher's license in the first one. He was trying to get his horns. There was no mention of the search for Pan. (source: Just Jared)

So that's it for the pictures. I'm really looking forward to the movie, even though the first one was a failure. I have hope that they will find a way to correct at least some of their mistakes.
